You should be able to change directory to your download path, e.g ., "1% cd [your path] . . . and then hit enter." Permissions on your directory may restrict reading or writing when you download. Make sure you have permissions set correctly. Configuration of hardware or external components may not be turned on or may not be connected correctly. Do you have enough space free on your hard drive to allow for a download? Free up some space if necessary. "(df command)" If you are networked, are there complications due to networking?
